The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr Chidi Lloyd has approved the reconstruction and remodeling of the local government legislative council complex within the council secretariat.
The council chairman stated that the approval for the reconstruction and remodeling of the legislative council complex is in line with his administration’s determination to modernize the entire Emohua local government council secretariat.
Dr Lloyd disclosed this during the inspection of some of the Infrastructural projects initiated within the local government council secretariat by his administration on Wednesday
The local government chairman who is also a former leader of the Rivers State house of assembly said the new legislative council complex envisioned by his administration will provide sufficient offices with modern facilities for the councillors and staff of the legislative council, as well as a befitting legislative council auditorium, in other words refered to as hallowed chamber for plenary sessions.
The council chairman instructed the director of works in the local government council to work out modalities for the commencement of the project.
The projects sites inspected include the ultramodern Emohua local government council secretariat building, the council canteen building, the local government healthcare center already in its completion stage and the ICT center.
Dr Chidi Lloyd was accompanied by the vice chairman of the council, Hon Mrs Edna Nyeche, leader of Emohua legislative council, Hon Mrs Love Nyenke, the council secretary, Chief Vincent Chukwu and other principal officers of the local government council.
